How to Prepare for Your
Upcoming Service

Please read each topic concerning the service you have requested in order to prepare for your upcoming service.

Do I need to be present for the service?

No, although we would love to see you and chat with you, we are able to perform all of our services without you being present at your facility. Many of our services take place after hours to avoid disruption to your daily operations. We will coordinate with you to ensure we have access to all parts of your property that will be requiring cleaning.

How do I prepare for floor services?

Before and During Service:

  1. To complete the areas that are outlined in your proposal, we must clear the area of all easily moveable items including but not limited to: chairs, chair guards, trash cans, and tables.
  2. If you have boxes, files, computer towers, or other sensitive items on the floor, please remove those items before our service date.
  3. Large items weighing more than 50lbs can be scheduled to be removed by the Stōkt team, but there will be an hourly moving fee applied. Let your service coordinator know if this is needed.
  4. All items will be returned to their original position upon completion of the service.

After the Service:

  1. There may be a residual scent when you arrive back at the office. Don't panic, this is normal and it's not harmful.
  2. You will receive an email from us with before and after photos.

For Medical Facilities:

If you are a medical facility with OR suites, we will need to remove all items from the suite to complete the service.

  1. Machines that are attached to the wall need to be disconnected before we arrive.
  2. Terminal cleaning will be performed following the floor service.
How Do I Prepare for Carpet Services?

Before the Service:

  1. Remove any items like paper, cardboard, or computer towers from the carpeted area.
  2. Our team will move any protective desk mats as needed and place them nearby to be put back in place once your carpets are fully dry.

After Service:

  1. You’ll receive a follow-up email with before and after photos of the work we’ve done. They’re perfect for sharing with your coworkers—and a great way to showcase your clean space!

Quality and Expectations:

Carpet is a textile, and like any textile, it responds best to regular cleaning. If the carpet hasn’t been maintained consistently, it may not return to a “like new” condition in one cleaning. You can generally expect your carpet’s appearance to improve by two points on a 0 to 10 scale.

  • For example: If your carpet was a 10 when brand new and it’s currently a 4, our cleaning would likely bring it up to a 6.
How Do I Prepare for Window Services?

Before the Service:

  1. Please remove any items from window sills or desks near the windows.

After Service:

  1. Once the service is complete, you’ll receive a follow-up email from us with before and after photos of your windows.

About the Service:

Your service will take place on a weekend or in the early morning, depending on your building’s schedule. If your service includes only exterior windows, there’s no need to move anything inside.

How Do I Prepare for Pressure Washing Services?

During the Service:

  • Nearby areas like windows, benches, and trash cans might get a little splash. Don’t worry—our crew will clean those up once the pressure washing is complete.

After the Service:

  • As always, once your service is complete, you’ll receive a follow-up email with before and after photos. They’re great for internal updates—and perfect for sharing with your coworkers!

About the Service:

  • Our team uses heated water—over 300 degrees—along with concrete mowers and wand technology to remove tough stains, gum, and built-up grime.
  • We also recover water runoff in accordance with environmental regulations—ensuring a safe, compliant service from start to finish.
  • All pressure washing services are performed after business hours to prevent any slip and fall risks for your team or visitors. Your safety—and theirs—is always our priority.
How Do I Prepare for Parking Lot Sweeping Services?

During the Service:

  1. Our crew begins by blowing out hard-to-reach areas, followed by sweeping the main spaces. This step can stir up a fair amount of dust, so if there are vehicles parked nearby, we may avoid that area entirely to prevent any impact.

After the Service:

  1. After the service, you’ll receive a follow-up email with before and after photos of the work we completed. They’re great to share with your coworkers and a nice way to show progress on your facility upkeep.

About the Service

  • We recommend scheduling sweeping services late at night or on weekends when parking lots and driveways are less crowded.
  • Our sweeping trucks are state-of-the-art and use a water-spray system to reduce airborne dust as they work. However, that doesn’t mean zero dust so you may notice some residue on exterior surfaces afterward.
  • Pairing sweeping with window cleaning and pressure washing is a great way to minimize this concern.
